THE LAST BREAD PUDDING
A Comedy by Nick Warburton
The committee of an amateur drama group is meeting to
discuss a new play “The Last Bread Pudding”, written by one
of its members. Wildly tongue-in-cheek, stylized and hilariously
over-the-top, this is a clever and entertaining piece.

The Village Players is an English language theatre group based in Lausanne, Switzerland. We put on two theatrical productions a year for the public in venues in the Lausanne area. We also have a wide variety of monthly events for members at our clubhouse at the Centre Pluriculturel d’Ouchy in the heart of Lausanne. For a brief history of The Village Players, click here.
Village Players come in all shapes and sizes, from different backgrounds and nationalities, and with a wide range of English accents – so there’s certainly a place for you.
Our theatre productions and monthly events are extremely varied: serious, funny, light, profound; music, song, poetry; sometimes involving months of rehearsal, sometimes straight off-the-cuff; sometimes purely social or seasonal, sometimes workshops where we learn from professionals.
If you would like to join the Village Players, we suggest you come to one of our events or productions and ask to speak to one of the committee members. You can see a list of all scheduled events on the right. Alternatively, feel free to contact us.
Our last production -THE HOBBIT – written and directed by Victoria Baumgartner and Daniel Gardini was a tremendous success! We will shortly be posting some photos on the site.
The playreading CAT’S CRADLE, directed by Adrienne Hahne, was a most enjoyable “who dunnit” with a surprising twist at the end.
In February, we had great fun singing songs to suit all tastes at our Karaoke evening, organised by Daniel Gardini.
